DIY Lavender Essential Oil Makeup Remover

Hi, my name is Taylor and I am addicted to coconut oil. *Cue the Hello "Taylors"*

Yes, I admit it. I'm an addict. But, ever since I discovered coconut oil, I just can't seem to put it down. I wash my face with it, I cook with it, I lavish my body with it, I take baths in it, I make hair masks with it. I think the store clerks at the local grocery store think I have a coconut oil operation running out of my house. (I promise you I don't, by the way.)

The benefits of coconut oil are mind-blowing and I don't know how I survived without it, (I often wonder that about computers..and cell phones, and the internet....and... wait, let's stay focused here...)

When it came to makeup removers I survived solely off the little pre-packaged wipes. They worked just fine, but they always dried out my skin. That's when I decided to go all natural, and I'll never go back.

Organic Coconut Oil can be used for:

  • Hair Care
  • Skin Moisturizer
  • Stress Relief
  • Boosted immune system
  • Weight loss
  • Cholesterol maintenance

AND YOU GUESSED IT, MAKEUP REMOVER.

Now, this would be the part of the blog where I get all "Bill Nye the Science Guy" and start listing off all the properties of coconut oil, but I won't pretend to be a scientist, so let's jump over to WHY you came here: LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

If you don't have a stock of lavender essential oils at your house, I don't know how you get by. I would be a big ball of stress without it. I particularly use it for wind-down time before bedtime, as it calms and soothes me like nothing else can.

So, being the efficient type that I am, and you probably are too... you know, the "THERE'S NO TIME TO WASTE!" type... I decided to combine my evening routines into one, and I just had to share it with you.

Spectrum Naturals - Organic Coconut Oil

It's pretty simple,

1. Pop about 1/2 cup coconut oil in the microwave for a few seconds to allow it to melt.

2. Wait until the oil has cooled completely

3. Drop about 15 drops of your lavender essential oil in it.

And magically, you have a calming, soothing, completely organic makeup remover. It's so efficient I just can't stand it!
